  • Exploring Singapore

Merlin Kafka is a freelance photographer and world-traveler originating from Germany and based in the UK. He ventures across the world to capture moments that are as spellbinding as they are beautiful. This world-explored crafts his photographs to feel like they occupy a moment in a distant dream. The desaturated colors, especially, have this effect, and their appearance is reminiscent of vintage photographs from long ago-certainly not of this century. More information at

  • Stunning Cityscapes in Bright Night

Based in Singapore, self-taught cityscape and street photographer Yik Keat Lee thrives most in places that are as unpredictable as he is. No matter where in the world he is, Yik Keat Lee has always taken photos before they slip away. Brief recollections can last forever if he is there to photograph them. Bangkok and Hong Kong are photographer’s favorite city since they are two of the rare places where modernity and tradition collide. The best stories, he suggests, can be found in the contradictions brought on by metamorphosis. In addition to being inspired by simple things, sense of evolution and striving is at the heart of all of Yik Keat Lee’s work. An unquenchable thirst for making beautiful photographs is far more important than anything that can be taught, and in his mind, “you are either born with it or you are not” as he says. “People who want achieve something so badly they think about it all the time,” Yik Keat Lee states, “these are the types of people that inspire me.” More information at
